(TCP)Chicago Opinion: – He’s bright, sharp as a razor, straight laced and a good example for conservatives and the TEA Party movement. Perhaps this signals that Romney is going to have a bold agenda. The congressman has energy and is good branding for the GOP. It’s true, he had to take some hard votes during Bush’s years in office. He will be attacked full force by the Axelrod Alinsky-style machine.
The GOP leaders are looking forward with this particular face and branding. Ryan is a good number 2 for now, but we think this is a strategic move to keep the GOP brand alive for a 16 year stint. TEA Party folks like him. We’ll have to see how Sarah Palin plays her cards. No doubt on the surface she’ll be supportive. Ann Coulter will be out front and proud. Where will the rest of the American female population fall?
It’s the independent women voter in this country that is the swing vote in every state of contention. As well, that’s where the polling confusions remain.
