The Vibe

The Hippest Play List Vibe On The Internet

Bittersweet Logo

After we published our first article in MySpace, 31 August 2006 and called our publicist’s profile The Daily MySpacian & MySpace Radio this vibe had been born.

The Daily MySpacian & MySpace Radio Inaugural Article Part 1

Within two weeks, every major label’s servers were hitting the profile and drawing GB’s of bandwidth from our hosting platform. By the end of October 2006 rap had fallen off the bookings from late night TV shows music segments. The next thing we knew, as we continued to watch the server hits coming in, everything we programmed was mimicked by the releases coming from the major’s corporate structures. UPDATE: Today we see however, younger ears have come a bit back into the fold, though not dominating things in a major way. Good songs are still making their way onto TV at the end of the shows mentioned below.

These were the initial artists of the programming vibe for the viral app, “The Bittersweet Player” (free code on the head of Bittersweet’s head page Bittersweet Records dot net! Again, this programming led the charge and was on the vanguard of the current trend in the market – Watch the late night television shows, Leno, Letterman, Kimmel, Craig Ferguson, Jimmy Fallon and Saturday Night Live – that’s what is driving the trend in terms of current production, and that’s where evidence of the influence from Bittersweet can be found. Good music is finally making its way back into the mainstream music biz. That’s what we were after. The current trend began around mid 2007 and has been gaining momentum ever since. Hip-Hop has adopted the Soul, Funk and R&B arrangement vibe and is no longer a relevant genre or trend setting niche, having adopted the classic format of Black music once again, and returning from whence it came. It’s about damn time!
